Women Entrepreneur Collective

The Mohli/Mahli tribal community is the traditional bamboo artisans with around 7,558 people engaged in this profession under Deoghar district in Jharkhand, India.

The Women Entrepreneur Collective Programme aims at doubling the income of 1000+ families within this community by reviving their Bamboo Craft Enterprises, through improved access to design, technology, finance, and market. These families of bamboo artisans are dispersedly located in 10 Administrative Blocks of the district, while the intervention has thrived in eight.

The project is initiated with the support of the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation [3ie].
